About Me

thats me!
Hi everyone! My name is Kariman Hamad, and I’m so excited to welcome you to my very first blog post. As of the Fall 2025 semester, I’m in my fourth year of studying Computer Science with a specialization in Communication and Networks. It sounds like a mouthful, but it really just means I’m taking three additional courses beyond the core Computer Science curriculum…totally worth it!
When I first chose Computer Science, I was fascinated by coding and how technology works behind the scenes. But over time, especially with the rise of AI and the variety of courses I’ve taken, I’ve come to understand that being a true computer scientist is about much more. It’s not just about writing code but it’s about problem solving at a deeper level. It’s about designing efficient algorithms, evaluating trade offs, and choosing the best solutions for real-world challenges.
So, why is a Computer Science student like me taking an EDCI course?
Great question! I’m taking this course as an elective, but more importantly, because I’m genuinely interested in learning design, especially in technology mediated contexts. I want to explore how educational tools are developed, how people learn through technology, and how these principles can connect back to my field. Understanding this could help me create better user experiences, smarter educational platforms, or even AI systems that adapt to how people learn best.
Thanks for joining me on this journey. I’m looking forward to exploring these ideas and sharing what I learn along the way!𓇼 ⋆.˚ 𓆉 𓆝 𓆡⋆.˚ 𓇼
